Stolen Messerschmitt

Messerschmitt KR200 has been stolen from one of my sheds in Cumbria — The only car left up there after a clearout. This early dometop is very unusualThis early dometop is very unusual not just because it is currently painted in original yellow and overprinted on the nose and monocoque in red, but because it has a few unique features which means the car can be recognised even after it might be restored if you know what you are looking for. It carries the chassis number 63938(!) and original registration UBY 679.

I have a pretty clear idea of what occurred as research has so far given me a name of the thief and that he sold it immediately to a 'dealer' in Preston for £2,000. So there is a clear track to be followed and I am reasonably certain that the car will surface after some more research. While the initial theft has been reported I am prepared to do a deal with the end purchaser who probably bought in good faith. On that decision will depend if the further information gleaned is reported into official channels as I want the car back.
