Some more site updates and extra features.

First, a little module which, surprisingly, isn't standard issue with Drupal, for creating hyperlinks between pages. This has made putting together a first effort at the events page possible.

A further extension module (E-Publish) has been added to take care of archiving back issues of Take Off. Well, OK, so there's only one issue archived so far, but that's enough to demonstrate the concept. You can access the archive here.

Some progress, but some glitches too. Posting existing articles from paper sources seems to work rather well. The GIMP (the free software world's equivalent of PhotoShop) has everything necessary to clean up paper scans, crop out images, and remove 'noise' (e.g. dirt on the paper, shadows from text on the reverse of the page etc. etc.). The Tesseract OCR program is similarly impressive, though proof reading is always required afterwards.

However, a few drupal things aren't quite as it would like them.

One of the things which hampers efforts to get more content onto this site, at least in its early days, is the problem with getting material which is mostly on paper (lurking in back issues of Take Off and elsewhere) digitized.
